7 DAYS AND I AM STILL SANE.
I have decided that I will be putting $30 in every 7 days for not smoking and then a dollar for every pound lost.  Thinking when I reach goal I should have a good sum built up and can maybe take a decent vacation somewhere.   It will be my reward for sticking with it.  I might even take my loving husband on the vacation. LOL.

Been a couple challenging days around here with my nerves being on edge and worrying about what is to happen with some of the kids in my home.  Court for TPR is this week and so that has got things up in the air.  I honestly think the kids know this is coming this week and that's why behaviors have been way out of control.  But with the Good Lords help we will make it through it.  And of course maybe a couple more prescriptions for concerta for a couple of the kids and maybe something for my self.  LOL just kidding.

3rd day

It's now 3rd day of not smoking and new diet.  And its been fun! Not.  But with the Lord's help I am making it through it.  I can tell I have a lot of prayer warriors out there and I thank you!

On the Plus side Ed has decided that he will be trying to quit smoking too as soon as he finishes this round of Prednisone he is on for ear infection he can start taking Chantex!  So he maybe a couple months behind me but at least he going to try. Thank the Good Lord! So watch out world we will both be dieting and not smoking.  I hope everyone will be able stand our moods.  LOL

Yesterday was fun, took all the kids toys away because of them refusing to clean up.  They are now in my garage and I have decided they will slowly earn them back.   And today we are learning to write our names, since 4 out of the 5 will be going to school next year.

Life is fixing to get really busy around here, Four of the 8 kids plus one granddaughter  will be playing ball this summer.  Already getting emails letting me know when practices will be.  So I figure we will be at the ball park most every night.   Thankfully the wonderful supporters of Angels' Arms paid their registration fees.  Its not cheap for kids to play sports.  Now I am on the hunt to find Gloves, batting gloves, helmets, bats, cleats, pants  for each of them.  Not going to be cheap but the Good Lord will supply away and it will be good for them all to be in a organized sport.

New journey

This blog is going to be about my life and about things that happen in my every day adventures as a foster mom/ nana.  I hope  to share some of the funny, touching, loving, sadness, upsetting, uplifting things that happen in our family.

A new journey is beginning in my life today.  I have decided that after 35 years to quit smoking and have also started on the Keto Diet all at the same time.  So we shall see how this works.

As many of you know I am  a full time foster mom and I currently have 8 kids in my home. 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10,, 13, and 16 yr olds.  A sibling group of 5 and a sibling group of 3.  Lets just say life is always fun in our home!   Plus I keep my wonderful awesome grandkids each day who are 4, 5, and 7 yrs old.  So this may not be an easy task ahead of me.  That is why I figured I would start blogging about my life, hopefully it will keep me on the up and up ,and keep me from giving in to the desire to smoke and eat things I shouldn't.  I am determined to do this because I know I am not as healthy as I need to be and this is some of the first steps I need to take to get healthy.  I deserve it and so do my Kids!

The bible verse I am going to keep saying to help me get through this journey I am beginning is one of my all time favorites.  Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

Here is a pic of me as of today, I am posting it so you can see where my Journey begins and where it ends up over time.  In this pic I am 220 lbs 5' 6" tall.  (can't believe I am sharing my weight with the world) but I figure it will keep me honest and help keep on track.
